10/4/24 – This is a near-mint Colt 1911A1 from early 1943. The slide is numbered and matching, it has the proper military proofs, and has a correct Colt barrel with a small “F” under the lug. It has retained about 97-98% of its original parkerized finish with just hints of high edge and muzzle wear and a few tiny marks from the slide stop. Fitted with period-correct plastic grips and comes with a proper “S” marked magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
