2/28/23 – This is a minty example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1915. It is all matching and has the proper Imperial military proofs. It comes with a fairly worn 1916-dated holster, an Imperial-marked Luger tool, and one original matching-numbered magazine. On the holster, the lift strap is missing and there is a tear in the magazine pouch. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its original finish with very minor wear on some of the high edges. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is some freckling on the grip straps and some areas of very minor pitting around the muzzle and on the side plate. Fitted with very nice period-correct grips. One grip panel is matching-numbered. The other is not matching but numbered “17” – maybe a factory error, but can’t say for sure. But the condition is identical to the other. The bore is shiny with strong rifling with just some very minor freckling around the muzzle end.
