10/27/23 – This is a minty condition, mid-war production Remington M1911A1 from 1943. Hard to find examples much better than this one! It is all correct and original with 97 – 98% parkerized finish remaining. Serial dates this pistol to mid-1943, and it has proper FJA inspectors mark and P proofs on slide and frame. Minty, correct grips. ‘L’ marked magazine – for Littleton. Excellent bore and barrel that is properly marked HS. Most of the original bluing remains on the barrel. The main spring housing is the early type – fine checkered variation. Hard to find on the early Remington’s. Near impossible to upgrade!
