8/26/20 – This is an original, mint-condition Japanese Arisaka Type 38, made at the Tokyo arsenal. Unfortunately, the mum has been ground off, but it is all matching. It comes with an original, mint-condition bayonet with a leather scabbard. There are just a few light wear streaks on the blade. The bayo does not match the gun. It also comes with a leather sling that we believe is reproduction and an excellent, period-correct dust cover. The dust cover does not match the gun. On the gun, there are a few light dings on the trigger guard and floor plate. Minor freckling on the floor plate as well. The wood stock is excellent – minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout. The bore is minty.
