8/23/21 – This is an original High Standard Model H-D pistol that was issued to the U.S. Military in 1944. A total of ~32,000 Model H-D pistols were procured by the military from 1943-45. This one is marked PROPERTY OF U.S. on the right side of the frame. The original, high-polish blue rates at about 85-90% with some minor finish loss on the left side of the barrel, but more on right side of slide. There’s also some oxidation and freckling in several areas on the gun. Excellent bore. Nice grips with a few minor dings.
