4/21/22 – This is an original WW2 era MG 42 rig that comes with a period-correct tripod stand, attached bipod, artillery sight, two drum magazines, and a drum magazine carrying case. The receiver has been welded and deactivated so this is a non-gun (no FFL required). The grouping is a mix of some German and some Yugo parts. The finish is dark and in great condition throughout. There are some small areas of rust on the underside of the receiver near the welded areas, however, as shown in photos. The receiver is stock metal (there is no actual receiver). The drum magazines and carry case are repainted but in excellent condition. Both drums and carry case have the same maker code and date stamp “wc 43”. The stand is likely Yugo from what we can tell, and repainted post war. Overall a very cool display and awesome historical grouping!
