6/23/22 – This is an original 1942 dated double-drum magazine for the MG15 machinegun. The magazine holds 75 rounds of 8mm Mauser ammunition. The top of the magazine is stamped “wd42” with “D-T15 Nr.28018M, Fl 46300” underneath. The blued finish is in great condition throughout the magazine. There is some mild surface patina along the swirled grooves of the drum and some finish loss along the edges. No rust or pitting. The original red paint is still visible within the numerical indicators. The ‘slab side’ of the magazine shows a crisp Luftwaffe eagle/64 proof stamp. The original canvas carry strap is still in excellent condition. Strong, functional spring.
