10/28/21 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 issued to the Imperial German Military during WW1. The gun is all matching and has the proper Imperial proof on the top of the slide. It comes as a rig with two magazines and a generic WW2-era holster (the inner flap is glued to the body of the holster – see photo). The gun has retained roughly 70% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap where there is also some very minor freckling. There is general high edge wear and wear around the muzzle. Noticeable thinning on the left side of the slide. There is spotty wear on the whole slide and some areas of minor pitting around the muzzle and right side of the slide. Areas of minor pin-pricking on the left side of the frame. There is some light scratching on the underside of the frame. Comes with a slightly worn period-correct grip. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pitting throughout.
