9/30/19 – This is an original WW2 era K98 rifle bayonet with an original scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet blade is maker stamped and serial numbered with excellent original finish throughout. The blade shows no signs of sharpening. The scabbard is also serial numbered but not matching to the blade. The scabbard has bluing loss and dark patina / discoloration as shown in photos. No dents on the scabbard though. The handle of the blade is similar to the condition of the blade itself – excellent. The leather frog is unmarked. All original and authentic from WW2.
