12/15/17 – This is an original late WW2 production Mauser K98 bayonet. The bayonet has a “44” date stamp on both the blade and scabbard, and the handle is riveted in place, which is a late war production method. The top of the handle has a waffen proof stamp. The blade and scabbard are matching serial numbered “2487 dd”, and are both stamped “44asw” on the reverse side. The blade is in great shape with no major flaws, and the scabbard is completely original. There is some light scratching on the blade and the scabbard, but overall this is in great condition.
