5/31/22 – This is an excellent condition K98 bayonet with the original matching numbered scabbard. The bayonet blade has a beautiful blued finish with minimal wear and no signs of sharpening. The hand guard and pommel have some mild finish loss and patina but no major issues. 1938 dated on the spine of the blade and maker stamped on the ricasso. The scabbard has some light surface wear but no dents or issues. A leather frog is attached to the scabbard, and 1941 dated with a “bmd” maker code.
