7/7/22 – This is an excellent, near mint condition Chilean Mauser K98 rifle bayonet with the original matching numbered scabbard. One of the nicest examples we’ve ever seen. The blade is minty with excellent cross graining and maker stamped on one side. The other side of the ricasso is stamped with the Chilean shield logo as shown. The hand guard is serial numbered, as is the scabbard “C 2560”. The wood handle has no cracks or chips, and one panel is stamped “175”. There’s some mild patina and oxidation on the pommel. The scabbard has a few very small dents, but excellent condition with beautiful finish throughout.
