5/6/22 – This is a M40 SS Double Decal helmet from WW2. The helmet comes with a COA from Kelly Hicks (author at SS-Steel Inc.). The helmet was made in 1941 with SS runes and party shield decals. The helmet has rust and corrosion throughout the shell exterior. There’s also pitting and texture throughout the metal due to wear and aging. The interior shell is ET 66 maker stamped. The original leather liner and chin strap are still present, but show similar aging congruent with the type of worn look on the shell. According to the COA, this helmet was dug from a Russian battlefield in the area of Demjansk.
