6/19/24 – This is an original, iconic WW1 US M1917 Trench Knife. The knife comes complete with an original scabbard. The 3-sided blade has lost most of its original finish but the blade itself is in excellent shape, particularly for a WW1 example. The hand guard has some finish loss and minor patina, but is in otherwise excellent condition. Very nice wood handle with no cracks or chips, just one small area with some light scratches on the right side. The scabbard is excellent, with clean leather body and minimal patina on the metal tips. Maker marked “JEWELL 1918” on the scabbard leather. A high-end example.
