4/10/23 – This is an original immediate-post WW1 production M1905 rifle bayonet. Ideally for a M1903 rifle, but would also fit on a M1 Garand rifle. This example has a 16inch “uncut” blade (they were often cut down for use during WW2). The blade has some minor dings and dents along the edge, as well as surface patina, dark discoloration, and finish loss throughout. The original blued finish is still intact however. The base of the blade is RIA maker stamped with a flaming bomb and 1919 date. The metal crossguard and pommel have dark patina but no rust or pitting, and the black grips are in great shape. Comes with an original scabbard with some honest surface wear and aging, as well as some roughness along the sides, but still in great overall condition.
