8/22/24 – This is an original M1 Garand bayonet made during WW2 by the American Fork and Hoe Company. Bayonet comes with its period correct scabbard. The blade on this bayonet has been sharpened, but overall maintains the majority of it’s finish. The locking mechanism on this bayonet is still functional. The fuller on the blade does not extend out to the tip of the blade, leading us to believe that this bayonet is a standard 10 inch bayonet that was used by the vast majority of U.S. troops during WW2. The flaming bomb stamped on the scabbard is strong. The blade is maker marked “AFH” above the hilt as well as the standard ordinance flaming bomb and “US”, all of which are strong and easily legible.
