1/11/22 – This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe wool cap. The cap has copper brown piping, which indicates a signal unit. The wool has some small moth holes but is in great overall condition. The piping also has some mild tattering in a few small areas, but is mostly in tact. There’s more tattering around the base of the cap, where the leather liner meets the edge. The interior liner is in good condition but there is some normal aging wear as shown. Size stamped “58”. The front interior is frayed and the piece that holds the shape up is coming out slightly on the interior. The decals on the front of the cap shown some mild patina, and the left wing of the Luftwaffe eagle is not attached.
