7/6/22 – This is an original Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword from WW2. The sword is in great overall condition with an excellent, near mint condition blade. The blade is shiny with a very nice clean finish throughout and Eickhorn maker stamped on one side. No evidence of sharpening or tampering on the blade. The original leather stopper is still intact. The hand guard and pommel show surface patina and color / finish fading throughout. No excessive wear, rust, or pitting. The leather handle is tight with no issues. Comes with a very nice, original scabbard. The scabbard has some mild surface cracking on the stretched blue leather, but no chipping or excessive damage. Original leather tab hanger still attached as well.
