2/9/23 – This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The knife is in great overall condition with an excellent, clean blade. The blade is maker stamped by SMF with crisp, visible cross graining on each side. No signs of sharpening and minimal surface wear. This example is mechanically sound with matching numbered release lever. The internal number near the base of the handle is mismatching numbered, however. The side pick piece unfolds smoothly without issue and is Luftwaffe proof stamped on the base. The wood handle has some dark stains but no cracks or chips. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Weinand Militaria.
