4/3/18 – This is an original WW2 production Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The blade is maker marked SMF and in good condition. However, there is some surface scratches on both sides of the blade. Also, the blade edge shows signs of significant sharpening – see photos. This looks like it was field-done and done well. So this is honest use wear from WWII. The wood handle is excellent, and the unlocking mechanism is matching numbered 456. The pick piece is luftwaffe eagle/5 proof stamped. Guaranteed original.
