1/23/23 – This is an original Luftwaffe Gravity Knife made by SMF. The knife is matching numbered as far as we can tell, with the lever and sear bar both being numbered “271”. The base of the handle is numbered internally as well, which we can see the “2” but the other numbers are hard to read. The blade is in great condition and very clean overall despite having some rub wear and surface scratching throughout each side. There’s some light signs of sharpening along the edge. Maker stamped by SMF as shown. The metal throughout the handle has a shiny look with some mild surface wear but no major discoloration, rust, or pitting. Smooth action and fully functional. Luftwaffe proof stamped on the base of the pick. The wood handle has a carved out area on one side, but otherwise has no cracks or chips.
