4/4/23 – This is an original 2nd Model Luftwaffe dagger from WW2. The dagger comes complete with an original scabbard, belt hanger, and silver portepee. The blade is Eickhorn maker marked and in near-excellent condition. There are a few dark spots of discoloration and light scabbard wear, but the cross graining is evident throughout and the blade has a crisp, shiny look overall. The hand guard and pommel show typical surface patina throughout and normal aging wear. The dark orange handle has one hairline crack near the pommel, and the base of the handle has some mild discoloration from having the portepee attached for a long period of time (a nice addition of honest wear). The portepee has a clean chord with some mild discoloration and a fairly tight knot with some mild surface wear. The scabbard has light surface patina throughout and no dents. The hanger is unmarked and in good condition with some mild fraying and surface patina on the fittings.
