4/13/22 – This is an original 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger with an original hanger and portepee. The dagger blade is in great overall condition with a maker stamp by Eickhorn. There is some dark speckling and mild wear on either side of the blade, but no signs of sharpening or major issues. The handle is excellent with a very nice hand guard and pommel. The portepee has some mild fraying on the cord but the knot is tight. There is some mild, dark staining on the knot. The hanger has part of the upper clip missing, so the hanger doesn’t fully attach to the scabbard, but the rest of the hanger is in great condition. The scabbard has some mild surface patina but no rust or pitting.
