5/14/24 – This is a 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger from WW2. The dagger is in great overall condition and comes with an original scabbard and portepee. The dagger blade has light oxidation and natural surface patina throughout both sides. More wear concentrated near the tip, which is typical on these examples. The discoloration is generally spotty and mild. Visible cross-graining on both sides. The base of the blade is maker stamped by Tiger on one side. The hand guard and pommel have traces of original finish within the grooves, with normal high edge wear and natural patina throughout. The handle has a few mild spots of discoloration and age wear but no major issues. The chord is somewhat loosened with age but is still secure and attached throughout the handle. The scabbard is in excellent condition with no dents and a good amount of finish still intact. Dark discoloration present on the sides of the scabbard. The portepee has some fraying on the chord, but the knot is tight.
