6/3/24 – This is a late WW2 production Type 30 Japanese Rifle bayonet. The bayonet is in excellent condition with late war features and a rare bamboo wood scabbard. The bayonet blade is blued and non-fullered with excellent finish throughout. Minimal surface wear and a maker stamp at the base of the blade on one side. The straight hand guard and flat-sided bird’s head pommel both have excellent original finish as well. Two piece wood grips have 2 rivets holding them in place and are excellent with no play or wiggle. Serial numbered on top of the pommel. The bamboo scabbard is excellent as well with original olive green paint and minimal wear. Hard to find examples like this in this condition!
