2/27/23 – This is an excellent Mauser Luger with an interesting composition. This gun is a put-together piece, most likely assembled at the end of WW2, in 1945. At this point in the war, the Nazis were essentially throwing guns together from leftover parts. This is an artifact of that time period. It has a Mauser toggle, the chamber is dated 1938, a few armorer’s replacement parts (42 and S/42), and some WW1-era parts with Imperial German proofs. All numbered parts have been made to match. Some parts are un-numbered. No military proofs except for the WW1 proofs. It comes with an un-numbered fxo magazine and excellent grips. Just a cool gun with great history. This one is in excellent condition, retaining about 95% of its bluing. There is spotty wear and oxidation on the straps. A hint of wear on the high edges of the frame and side plate. The bore is mint.
