6/19/24 – This is an original, late WW2 production German LP42 Flare Pistol. The flare pistol has rough machining and is a classic late-war example. The finish is mostly missing throughout the barrel and side profiles of the frame. Overall around 35% of the bluing is intact, but these later wartime production pieces are known for thin finishes. The flare pistol is mechanically sound with no issues. The grips are original and in great condition with mild handling wear. Worth noting; one of the grip panels is black while the other is a dark reddish-brown (likely left the factory this way, again a late-war production indicator). The barrel and frame are matching numbered. The bore has light patina but is in good overall condition. Comes with a reproduction leather holster.
