3/29/23 – This is an original Kriegsmarine dress dagger by Alcoso, a fairly scarce maker for this style blade. The blade is in excellent condition with some very light, mild speckling throughout which gives a semi-cloudy appearance of the finish near the base of the blade. This is a minor detraction from an overall clean example. The dark brown felt stopper is still intact at the base of the blade. The hand guard and pommel have some of the gold wash finish worn off, and surface patina throughout. The beige bakelite handle has no cracks or chips and a tightly wound chord. Comes with an original scabbard in excellent condition with light surface patina throughout.
