6/22/23 – This is an original German “Reichskriegsflagge”, also known as a Kriegsmarine Battle Flag. The flag is ink stamped on the hoist, “Reichskriegsfl: 150×250” indicating the dimensions as 150×250 cm. The hoist also has a faint, pink colored ink stamp that is too faint to read, and a maker ink stamp “Fahnen-Kreisel”. The hoist still retains the original hanging rope, which is secure and in excellent condition. The hoist corners are reinforced with an additional piece of red cloth. The corner just beneath the maker marking has some mild tattering and a few small holes. The flag is otherwise in excellent condition with no notable stains, holes, rips, or stitching issues.
