3/13/24 – This is an original WW2 Kriegsmarine leather jacket and pants. These were often worn on the infamous U-Boat vessels and provided all-weather protection with a wool interior and heavy leather exterior. This example is in great overall condition. All jacket buttons are intact and display the Kriegsmarine anchor logo. The jacket exterior is stamped with a Kriegsmarine eagle/M just below the 2nd button from the collar. We haven’t seen a stamp like this before on this style jacket, so we’re not sure if this was added post-factory. The exterior has some mild wrinkling and light use wear visible along the sleeves, but the interior wool is clean and excellent. The interior jacket tag has a date stamped 1943. The pants have some mild rust on the metal closure clasp, but this is minor. The leather has nice grey coloring throughout with some areas of natural fading from use and age.
