3/7/24 – This is a very well marked and highly desirable K98 leather sling. The sling is in great overall condition with some light surface aging but no major issues. No cracks or overly-soft areas of leather. The sling is marked with a maker, 1938 date, and waffen eagle proof stamp near the metal fastening end. The maker is too faint to decipher, but letters are visible. The metal fastener is marked “L&F”. The leather keeper is also maker stamped “C.H. & Co.” with a 1938 date and another waffen eagle proof stamp. It’s very hard to find an example as well marked as this!
