7/25/19 – This is an original and excellent condition leather strap for a K98 rifle manufactured during WWII. Maker stamped “RITGEN” on the rear of the keeper stud. There are no other markings. The leather is excellent and completely in tact with no notable flaws. The leather retains about 95% of the original herring bone pattern. The leather and stitching on the un-marked buckle is excellent. All the stitching is original as well without issues. Very nice piece. Guaranteed original.
