8/27/24 – This is a Japanese Type 30 bayonet made in the Matsushita Kinzoku KK Arsenal commonly known as National Denki Arsenal. The blade of this bayonet has almost all of its original bluing left. The bluing is missing from areas commonly associated with scabbard usage, with the majority found around the tip of the blade. The blade does appear to have its original edge, as it is not sharpened, there is no oxidation or pitting on the blade. The blade is maker stamped on one side of the ricasso, as shown. The pommel is serial numbered and proof stamped. The scabbard of this bayonet is in excellent condition and has all of its original finish. This bayonet also has it’s original scabbard frog made out of rubberized canvas.
