6/15/23 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The bolt is mismatched, the firing pin is un-numbered, and the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. There isn’t much actual finish loss on the metal parts, but it appears someone lacquered the wood and covered the metal parts with it as well. The stock shows the typical signs of wear and use for these guns. Mint bore.
