4/7/22 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is entirely matching and has partially defaced Imperial mum stamp on the receiver that is still mostly visible. The gun has retained most of its original bluing. There is some minor wear around the muzzle. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is some light freckling on the receiver and spotty oxidation on the barrel. Heavy brown patina on the butt plate. A few very light scratches on the floor plate. Very nice stock with only minor bruises and scratches. The bore is near-mint. Comes with an original cleaning rod.
