1/19/22 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is entirely matching, but the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. Unfortunately, the whole front half of the stock has been duffle-cut (from about the rear sight to the front barrel band). This duffle-cut moves freely up and down. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition. There is very little actual finish loss, there is just some very minor thinning on the floor plate and minor wear on the high edges of the butt plate. There is spotty oxidation along the barrel and an area of oxidation on the receiver. The stock has minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.
