05/14/2024 – For sale is a Soviet model 91/30 Mosin Nagant made at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1942. This rifle has the uncommon feature of being double date stamped with “/50” added after 1942. The double date is a stamp done by a refurbishment/repair depot after the war. This rifle is typical of Soviet refurbed Mosin Nagants and has the deep finish applied to the metal. The overall condition rates about 90% as there is some finish loss on the metal, the shellac finish on the stock, and some freckling on the bolt and rear of the receiver. The rifle is force-matched to the receiver via re-stamping. The bore is bright at the beginning but gets dark at the muzzle.
