12/5/23 – This is an example of a Mosin Nagant Model 91/30 issued to the Soviet army during WW2. This rifle was made at the Izhevsk State Arsenal in 1943. The rifle has a finish typical of post war Soviet Refurbishment with a deep black paint on the metal parts. The stock on the rifle has been sanded and had oil applied which is not standard for Russian rifles. The rifle has matching serial numbers on the barrel shank, magazine floor, and buttplate. The bolt has no serial numbers and has a non-original bent handle welded on. The rifle has been changed into a PU style sniper with a reproduction PU Scope installed. The bore is fully frosted over and is bright towards the first half when a light is shined through and gets darker towards the muzzle. Comes with a lens cap for the scope.
