5/30/17 – This is an Ithaca manufactured M1911A1, complete with period correct holster, belt, mag pouch and two spare magazines. The original finish rates at about 93-94%, with some notable thinning of the front strap. Pistol is properly P marked on slide and frame, F.J.A. inspector proofed, and has a (correct) Flannery barrel. One magazine is ‘L’ marked, one ‘R’ marked, and the last is unmarked. Excellent grips and belt. U.S. stamped mag pouch. Holster is in excellent condition, with Milwaukee Saddlery Co maker mark and 1942 date on the back. Milwaukee Saddlery originially manufactured leather harnesses, collars and accessories for farm horses, then started developing seats for Harley-Davidson before preparing to help with production for the war. Pistol’s bore is very nice, with no frosting or pitting.
