11/30/21 – This is an excellent example of an Italian Bodeo Model 1889 Revolver, manufactured in 1919. It is a Type 2 example with a folding trigger. It has the proper “Crown RE” royal Italian military proof on the right side of the frame. The frame and cylinder are matching. The barrel has numbers “18” and “F24” on it. The trigger appears to be numbered “111”. The gun has been professionally restored, so the bluing is bright. It has retained virtually all of its new bluing, but there is some very light freckling on both sides of the frame and spotty oxidation on both grip straps and base of the frame. The original lanyard ring is intact. Comes with nice wood grips – the condition of the left and right do not match each other exactly. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some areas of light oxidation.
