8/5/21 – This is a rare and highly desirable M1 Carbine as produced in 1944 by Irwin-Pedersen. It’s the rarest and most desired manufacturer of WW2 carbines. A full parts list for this gun is included in the photos of the listing. Irwin-Pedersen produced and completed less than 4,000 rifles, which is less than 1/10th of 1 percent of total M1 production. This one is fully original and all parts check out as compared to Canfield’s book on the M1 Carbine. The metal finish is in excellent condition overall with minimal wear, and the bore hardly looks used. The stock does have a few notable dings/chips, one on the underside and one on the handguard. Overall, a very nice example of the rarest M1 Carbine, especially with all original parts.
