12/7/22 – This is a very nice example of a International Harvester M1 Garand issued to the US military in the 1950’s. LMR barrel dated December of 1952. It also has a cross-canon military cartouche. There is what appears to be a very faint DOD stamp on the left side of the stock. Overall, the gun has retained about 90% of its parkerized finish. Virtually all of the finish loss is around the muzzle and along the gas tube. Some light scuffs along the barrel. Some tiny pits on the barrel behind the op rod. Excellent wood stock with just a couple of scratches on the left side. The stock does appear to be sanded. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. Muzzle reading: 2. Throat reading: 1.
