3/14/23 – This is an original WW2 era production Sauer 38h holster. The holster is in great overall condition with all original leather and stitching intact. The leather has no maker stamps, waffen proofs, or date stamps, but is typical German WW2 style and shape. The leather has normal pliability and no major issues. The interior leather is fairly clean and still shows a faint Sauer 7.65 designation ink stamp. Perhaps this was later wartime “rushed” production, hence the lack of additional stamps or markings, but we’re not sure. This example is in great condition and a fairly desirable variation.
