4/12/23 – This is an original WW1 Imperial Navy Luger stock and holster, complete with shoulder straps, cleaning rod, and luger takedown tool. The wood stock is original and in great condition with two imperial Navy proof stamps on the wood and on the metal disc. The base / female end of the stock is serial numbered and the metal is in great condition. The locking lever is functional as well. The leather toe securing strap shows surface cracking and wear, but is still intact. The holster is in very good overall condition with soft, pliable leather that shows previous use and aging. There’s surface wrinkling and mild cracking throughout the leather, but no major issues. The interior lid is maker stamped, and it looks like there may have been other interior markings but they’re no longer legible. The stitching throughout the holster is intact and looks all original. The cleaning rod pouch is in great shape and still together, with a nice unmarked cleaning rod inside. The cleaning rod is an early WW1 Navy original with a zig-zag pattern at the tip. The luger tool is unmarked and makes a nice placeholder. The leather shoulder straps are high quality reproductions (based on condition being “too good to be true” compared to the rest of the leather). This is an extremely rare grouping seldom found in original condition like this.
