11/21/24 – This is a very nice example of a Mauser K98 put together by the French immediately after WW2 using leftover Nazi parts. It is all matching with French Star proofs. A few of the small parts have German waffen military proofs. The finish on the metal parts rates roughly 85% with general high edge wear and some areas of minor thinning – most noticeable on the receiver, along the barrel, and on the floor plate. Light surface oxidation around the crown of the muzzle. The wood furniture shows no major damage, just minor bruising throughout. Very nice bore with good rifling. Comes with a minty leather sling.
