9/6/23 – This is an original WW2 production German Heer Army Dagger with an original scabbard, portepee, and hanger. The dagger blade has some honest surface patina and signs of aging throughout. There are a few light scratches and signs of buffing due to cleaning throughout. As a result of this buffing / cleaning, the maker marking is no longer visible. There’s a trace of a Puma logo on the reverse of the blade ricasso. The hand guard has some of the original finish still intact, but there’s surface patina and mild wear throughout. The handle has no cracks or chips but there’s no chord wrapping present. The pommel has light surface patina and a good amount of original finish still present. The portepee has a tight knot but there’s fraying on the rope in various areas. The scabbard is in good condition with no major issues and light wear. The hanger is in great condition. All original and authentic.
