3/15/22 – This is an H&R M1 Garand from 1956. The gun was re-worked some time later, as the stock has a square P proof, indicating it went to a re-build facility. The barrel is LMR marked, which can be correct for H&R rifles. Barrel is 1953 dated, receiver dates to 1956. The metal finish is original but generally thin throughout. Bore has strong rifling but some frost throughout. TE is a 1+, muzzle is a 3. Stock is in excellent condition with hardly any handling wear. Import mark from Interarms on the barrel.
