7/25/23 – This is a nice example of an antique H Pieper Side by Side Shotgun, manufactured in the late 1800’s and chambered in 12 GA. All matching and fully functional. It has beautiful Damascus steel barrels. Almost all of the original case-hardening on the receiver is worn. There is obvious “attic patina” covering all of the metal parts, but the Damascus patterning on the barrels is still very visible. There is a series of what looks like white paint scuffs along the left side of the barrels. Very nice wood furniture, but there are tiny bruises throughout and a light scratch along the right side of the butt stock. The bores have pitting throughout.
