9/3/21 – This is a gorgeous and interesting Smith & Wesson model 15-4 revolver that was owned by master engraver Leon White. The listing includes an original bill of sale from Leon to the father of our consignor, and states that Mr. White personally engraved it himself in the Moors style. Leon White learned under nationally known Cole Agee, and the listing also includes a copy of a newspaper article about White. The gun itself is in mint condition, there is no wear or scuffs, no turn line on cylinder, and the bore is mint. Engraving covers 80-90% of the metal surfaces and the work is high quality. White’s work has been featured in magazines and books, and this revolver shows why. Other features include mother of pearl grips and a 4in barrel. FFL required.
