10/13/21 – This is a beautiful military Smith & Wesson M1917 rig with holster, belt, mag pouches, moon clips and vintage ammo. The gun is all original and matching, with 95-96% of the blue remaining. There is minor thinning and patina on the left side of the barrel, a standard turn mark on the cylinder, and a few minor spots of bluing loss on the grip frame. The original grips are present and in good condition, and the right panel is correctly hand-numbered and matching to the gun. The initials ‘AE’ are also lightly scratched on the inside of the grip panels. GHS inspector mark is visible on the frame, and the barrel is also UNITED STATES PROPERTY marked. Beautiful case hardening on the trigger and an excellent bore. It comes with a 1917 dated holster, which is maker marked ‘G&K’. The mag pouches are marked internally and dated to November of 1918. A total of 6 moon clips holding 3 cartridges each are also included.
